CCYS Fall Plans
CCYS will offer an intra-town program this season – there will be no travel soccer.
Players in all grades will register by grade and school. PreK and K teams will be coed and formed by school. Teams for grades 1-8 will be formed by grade, gender and school.
CCYS Soccer for grades K-8 will have a ten week season. PreK will run for 8 weeks (September 19-November 7).
Proposed Dates: Grades 1-8: September 14 – September 26 PreK & Kindergarten: September 19-September 26
Players First Grade - 8th Grade will have two clinics per week. One clinic on a weeknight and one on Saturday. The weekday clinic will be run by professional coaches and the Saturday session will be run by both volunteer and professional coaches.
PreK & Kindergarten will have one clinic a week on Saturdays.
*This plan is dependent on state and local Covid numbers and risk. We will stay in Stage 1 until we can safely move into Stage 2
Proposed Dates:Grades K- 8: October 3 – November 21 PreK; October 3 – November 21
One clinic per week. One intra-team game/scrimmage on Saturday. Kindergarten players will play one session per week on Saturdays. The weekday clinic will be run by professional coaches and the Saturday session will be run by both volunteer and professional coaches. Volunteer coaches for grades 3-8 may also plan an additional practice for their teams when we are in Stage 2.
*We anticipate that we will be able to continue with Stage 1 even if Stage 2 is unable to run.
*Fenn players should register for the Fenn Grades 4-8 registration program and Nashoba Brooks players should register for the Nashoba Brooks PreK – 8 registration program. We will try and keep kids from the Fenn School and from Nashoba Brooks together with schoolmates if we have enough numbers in each group.
PreK program– PreK players will meet once a week on Saturdays for a clinic run by CCYS professional coaches. Volunteer coaches will assist.
CCYS is not requiring players to purchase uniforms this season. We felt given the current situation, it did not make sense to require families to incur added costs. CCYS will provide reversible pinnies to all players for scrimmages and intra/team games.
All registrants will be asked to pay a $30 non-refundable fee. We will collect registration-related expenses up front, and only collect other expenses if we play ($25 CCYS admin costs which include the cost of our Club Administrator processing the registrations,a small administrative fee for Adminsports (the system you use to register)Mass Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) player fees which include insurance, and a $5 deferred billing fee). All future payments will be deferred until the start of the season.
Your credit card will be charged weekly once the season starts. If we are unable to play soccer under either CCYS’ proposed Stage 1 or Stage 2 scenarios outlined above due to Covid-19 related issues the payments will be suspended.
Fees per program:
PreK: $130 ($13 per week)
Kindergarten: $150 ($12.50 per week)
Grades 1-4: $190 ($16.50 per week)
Grades 5-8 $210 ($18.50 per week)
Given the current uncertainties, there is no late registration fee this season. Registrations after August 21st will be waitlisted and ONLY placed on a space-available basis.
Please consider volunteering. We will need extra help this season in particular! Soccer knowledge a plus, but not a requirement. If you want to submit your name to be considered for a Coach or Assistant Coach, please select the appropriate volunteer option and complete the volunteer information when you are registering your child during the online registration process.
All players, coaches, referees, and spectators will be required to adhere to any revised published guidelines and protocols which will be made available closer to the start of the season. We plan to hold mandatory virtual meetings to review the guidelines with all of our coaches, and each team will be required to have an assistant coach who will act as a COVID-19 Safety Coordinator while on the field. Additionally the game/practice formats that we have used in the past will need to be adjusted to accommodate all required social distancing parameters.
